Scholastic & Co-scholastic Assessment

CCE includes assessment in scholastic as well as co-scholastic aspects of the pupils’ growth. Scholastic aspects include curricular areas, whereas co-scholastic aspects include life skills, co-curricular, attitudes and values.

The following scheme is followed for classes I to X

The CCE in classes III to X shall spread over two terms during one academic session.

1. First term includes Formative Assessment I, Formative Assessment II (Pen Paper Test) and Summative Assessment I (Pen Paper Test). The duration of the First Term is from June To October in an academic session.
2. Second term includes Formative Assessment III, Formative Assessment IV (Pen Paper Test) and Summative Assessment II (Pen Paper Test). The duration of the second term is from November to March in an academic

FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT

Pen Paper Test subject wise will be part of the Formative Assessment II in the first term and Formative Assessment IV in the second term. Formative Assessment II & IV in the form of Pen Paper Test will be held by the last week of August and the second week of January in each academic session. The marks secured by children out of 40 in the FA II and FA IV will be finally reduced to 10 respectively. The duration of Formative Assessment I will be from the first week of June to the first week of October & Formative Assessment III will be from the first week of November to the last week of February.

SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT

Summative Assessment I will be held in the 2nd week of October & Summative Assessment II in the last week of March in each academic session. The marks secured by children out of 60 in SA I and SA II will be finally reduced to 30 respectively.

The weightage of formative assessment (FA) and summative assessment (SA) shall be as follows:

Grading Scale

Assessment of Scholastic attainments will be reported twice a year in one academic session.

 

The nine-point grading scale for measuring Scholastic achievements is given below:
